This is why government spending will not decrease. Everybody wants to keep his or her pet projects, and this includes Republicans. Just ask Sen. Inhofe, ostensibly one of the most conservative senators.
If the American people truly wanted smaller government and less spending, we would have it now. I am not optimistic for the future.
