Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.’s obsession with racial grievance-mongering could get Americans burnt to a crisp in their own homes. That’s because his Justice Department is trying to force the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) to hire flunkies who got 70 percent wrong on a basic, fire-related multiple-choice, open-book test.
The exam was used to screen applicants to the fire academy. More than 90 percent of black and Hispanic test-takers passed, which isn’t enough for liberals addicted to affirmative action. At Justice’s urging, federal district Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis threw out FDNY’s test results - blocking admittance to all successful blacks and Hispanics - and ordered a complicated process to admit more minorities.
On Feb. 28, Thomas E. Perez, assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, submitted a proposed order for damages for rejected applicants who scored 25 or higher on the 85-question exams......

I’m a lawyer today because in the early `80s I was passing police academy entrance exams with high 90s written and physical and getting passed over for women and minorities scoring in the 70s and 60s. Tne Commandant of the Ohio Highway Patrol Academy said it was because of the Carter Justice Department - I was just too white and too male and all law enforcement agencies accepting federal funds were under intense pressure to become more female and more minority.
He said that with my college grades I should head to law school. Sound advice.
Affirmative action fireman (or firewoman): “You want me to climb UP that ladder? I can’t do that! I can only climb DOWN ladders!”
All affirmative action needs to be eliminated. This includes allowing organizations coerced into hiring less qualified minorities, women, etc. to fire affirmative action hires.

This is just putting the public at risk and being so overly politically correct that it is criminal. does it surprise me .. NOPE.
I know a girl who got hired as a cop who was near legally blind. Her vision was like 200/200 uncorrected.
How did she get hired you may wonder?
Americans with disabilities act. Now she is out there working the street. Of course, she can’t really work the street so they out her on a desk and is now in charge of others!
Put a bag on peoples heads. If they can’t pass the tests and minimum standards they don’t get the job. Public safety is no place to play these games.

Nobody, of ANY race, should be allowed to get away with the crap he’s been delivering for over the last few weeks. NOBODY!!
I’m a white guy who believes Dr. King’s message from his “I Have A Dream” speech, that a person should be judged by the content of his character and not the color of his skin. I strongly believe that.
Holder does not. And he has demonstrated through his actions, and those of his department, that he does not. Absolutely unacceptable!
Fire the bastard or we’ll do it. And you don’t us involved. You really don’t.
