I'm somewhat sympathetic. If she had been doing well teaching for the last four years at the school, I wouldn't dismiss her just for something long ago in her past. How many of those teachers did illegal drugs in their youth but are teaching our children today?
I'm not excusing her past behavior, nor her changing identities after her dust-up in Kentucky to hide her past, but I'd be willing to let it slide if she was otherwise a good teacher.

Although it's not specified in the article, I suspect when she applied for her new teaching job in St. Louis, there was some question about whether or not she had ever been suspended or fired from another teaching job or working with children, and she failed to disclose her suspension at the Paducah school.
Just a guess.
