Oh, wow! That’s terrific. I’m envious. We used to have a classical music station out here in Portland, OR, but it went to rock music.
WGBH, the public radio station, always played Classical music in the mornings,and sometimes on the weekends. They learned of the sale of WCRB, and decided to try a listener supported All Classical format. It seems to have been a success, and I suspect that others, like I, who would never have sent a dime to WGBH, are supporting WCRB. There are limited commercials on the station, as well, from businesses that had advertised on WCRB before, and continued on after the sale. They are very tasteful, of course. ;o)
