No, it sounds like he was a little suspicious then but now with the chain of events unfolding, they are desperately trying to remember what in the world they said at that meeting. I think this “spin” of them being suspicious is what O’Keefe is talking about. I am sure that they have Reddington’s resignation in hand ,post dated of course, in case they have to toss him overboard.
I'm sure he planned on resigning this summer 5 years before he was offered the job and the board regretfully accepted his resignation a few months early.
