Yes. There should be no gun restriction for law abiding citizens.

“But are these changes dangerous? Would faculty and students pose a danger to others? Wouldn’t police accidentally shoot permit holders who are trying to stop an attacker?”

Why don’t they look at the states that allow concealed/carry on campus, like Utah? Absolutely none of these ridiculous concerns are occurring.

What restriction?

The Second Amendment says the right to keep and bear arms “Shall Not Be Infringed”.

;-)

In light of the fact that most colleges are private institutions, I think it should be up to the people who ultimately own them or control the property.

You should no more have to surrender your Second amendment rights, than those protected by the First. However the U of Idaho students can’t seem to drink without falling out of windows so I would agree gun possession might be reasonably be restricted to those with feet firmly planted while drinking.

Would faculty and students pose a danger to others?

Look, anywhere moonbats and lib-tards gather in groups of more than one or two they represent a SEVERE danger to others. But I see that as a secondary issue. And it's CERTAINLY no reason to prevent sane, rational adults from being able to defend themselves from criminals.

Criminals do not check their criminal intent at the 'gates' when they step on to college campuses, so why should we have to check our self-defense mechanisms?

Duh-

“Gun Free Zones” are a microcosm of the gun issue at large.

The crazy and most criminal minds are not concerned with the law.

The cunning and deliberate mind will even seek out the low threat since they are like sheep and unable to resist. Crime is less dangerous in those places for the “real” criminal.

Those with guns, clean records, following the laws, are denied what is written in plain English in our Constitution and defined as a “right” through bureaucratic verbiage and political maneuvering.

Call the “Gun Free Zone” idea a medium sized experiment in the flawed logic of those advocating gun control who will of course argue that this only failed because we need to take their upside down thinking to an even greater level!

Um yes. These retarded gun free zones are nothing more than an invitation to criminal violence.

Considering the killings already, this is a stupid question. We disarmed the students and they got slaughtered.

Muggers, rapists, thieves, and politicians are all for keeping guns out of the hands of victims. I guess we can add college administrators to that list now.

Worry about and distrust anyone who fears a lawful person owing a gun.

If gun free zones worked, schools would be bastions of safety. Instead, the opposite is true.
