Wisconsin State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says the evolving fight in Madison is about the 2012 election.
In an interview with Fox News Megyn Kelly, Fitzgerald said efforts to recall senators were designed to impact the 2012 electionseven suggesting the recall of Republican senators was being orchestrated by the White House. This is not some grassroots effort theres definitely more to this.
Under tough questioning from Kelly, who asked Fitzgerald for any proof of a connection between the Obama White House and the recall effort in Wisconsin, Fitzgerald insisted whats happening in his state is all about who wins Wisconsin in 2012:
Well if they flip the state senate, which is obviously their goal with eight recalls going on right now, they can take control of the labor unions. If we win this battle, and the money is not there under the auspices of the unions, certainly what youre going to find is President Obama is going to have a much difficult, much more difficult time getting elected and winning the state of Wisconsin.
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned redistricting. Isn’t the GOP pretty free to redistrict the way it’s want to as of now?
The 2012 presidential election is going to be unbelievably dirty. because the thugs that surround Obama will stop at nothing. Scott Fitzgerald is very likely right that this Wisconsin recall bit is a White House-directed ploy.
If they have any guts...
