Tobin’s reporting on FOX News has been a disgrace. Beyond his pro-union bias all of last night, he missed the entire story: the conference bill that passed the Senate last night gave Governor Walker 95% of his budget. The only “fiscal” items under Wisconsin law — following a ruling from the parliamentarian — were those related to the refinancing.
So, in the conference bill that passed the Senate and will now be passed by the House this afternoon, the unions will not only lose their collective bargaining rights over benefits, but the imposition of changes to their pension, to health care contributions, et.al., are being enacted. This will save the State $300 million immediately and more than a billion dollars over the next several years.
This has been disgraceful, ignorant, and shameful journalism - Hannity, Greta — all of them. Total ignorance by them and their reporters on the ground.
That's typical, as far as I am concerned. When the media gets a story right, it's an accident.
This is the first I've heard of this and assuming you're correct (I do) I am losing even more respect for Fox RINO News. They are really slipping away from useful information and going the way of the MSM. Shame on them. They've never been great but things are getting worse.
