CENTRALIA, Wash. (AP) -- A 25-year-old woman has been arrested for investigation of first-degree murder in the death of a baby boy born prematurely and found decapitated, Centralia police say.
Laura Lynn Hickey was arrested Wednesday after a weeklong investigation, which included a post-mortem examination of the baby by a forensic pathologist.

This story just makes me so incredibly sad.
I don’t think we’re getting the entire story. Be that as it may, the woman was allowed to get pregnant again. I want to know why the court didn’t order her sterilized after they took her first three children away.
If she decapitated her child, then she is guilty of murder and should be tried for it. If she is determined to be criminally insane then there are places she can be locked up for her safety. Prison should be the last place they send her - she won’t last two days in county jail, either, unless in solitary confinement.
Baby killers are right up there with baby rapers as the most reviled among inmates.
