It is to someone whose budget only allows $50 for a purse. You don’t think $1,000 is expensive for a handbag??? I’ve never spent more than $50 and have gotten some pretty nice ones on sale at Carson’s, Kohls. Where do you shop lol?

A good coach or Dooney and burke bag might go for a couple hundred...we usually get them used or on Ebay because they last forever.

I have bought my early twenties granddaughters top of the line $6-700 handbags on ebay for less than $20...and they LOVE them. They each have a London Fog - ditto, ebay - for less than $20. I have two London Fogs I scarfed up at a thrift shop, one for $4.50 and one for $5.50 - and there is no sign of wear.

I have a long, camel coat - wool/alpaca blend - that was originally $750 - I got for $5.50. One can dress to the nines on a paupers pocketbook - and have much classier pocketbooks, to boot. That thing shelly has looks like a plastic grocery bag - and yes, those brilliant blue shoes that match NOTHING just stick out like a neon light.
