"Havin’ ain’t usin’

Not always. But not having ain't never usin'.

Emperor Hirohito, back during our armed conflict with Japan, was allegedly queried by a General why it was that he had no plans to invade America. It is reputed that his reply was something along the lines of, "One cannot invade America, there would be a gun behind every blade of grass."

Usin' ain't always necessary. Sometimes, but not always. Sometimes, just havin' does the trick. The difference is, your enemy has to believe that, if the ball goes up, you won't hesitate. Saves alot of time, powder, lead, and blood.

What it is that most drives our political nemeses to fits of hystrionic apoplecty is their absolute knowledge that, if push comes to shove, we won't be shoving back...

...if you follow my meanin'

That’s true, but leftism is a mental and spiritual disease. Those scoundrels can’t be expected to act rationally.

I expect the gun grabbers to continue doing what gun grabbers do. They will attempt confiscation, and who will fire the first shot? How can anyone know that he won’t be left twisting in the wind?

“Emperor Hirohito...”One cannot invade America, there would be a gun behind every blade of grass.”

That was Yamamoto Isoroku, chief opponent of going to war with the US. Revisionists now are insisting that there is “no evidence” that he ever said it, but that’s only because they wish he hadn’t.

Apropos of nothing at all, “Isoroku” means “56.” It was not uncommon for a boy born in his father’s 56th year to be named “56.” Don’t know if it was just bragging, or if there was some other significance.
