It’s been nearly nine weeks since that tragic shooting in Tucson, and you may be wondering whether there’s been any gun legislation proposed in the aftermath.

The core of the great national gun divide comes down to this: On one side, people’s sense of public safety goes up as the number of guns goes down; the other side responds to every gun tragedy by reflecting that this might have been averted if only more legally armed citizens had been on the scene.

I am on the first side simply because I believe that in a time of crisis, there is no such thing as a good shot.

I guess that she belongs to the "lie back and enjoy it" school of thought.

Gun control is kinda like trying to solve drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to own cars.

“I believe that in a time of crisis, there is no such thing as a good shot”

You can believe green leprechauns bring babies to mothers at midnight, but it doesn’t make it so.

Bull**** sweet sounding statements that have no basis in reality: the heart of liberalism.

Typical libtard bed-wetter.

“I believe that in a time of crisis, there is no such thing as a good shot”

Let's test that, Ms. Collins. Come to my backdoor and bust out my patio glass in the middle of the night, and let's see if you don't have a third eye in very short order.

Willing to bet your life on that assertion, Gail?

“I believe that in a time of crisis, there is no such thing as a good shot.”

Another pacifist unfamiliar with TRAINING!!!!

With unannounced LIVE FIRE to our rear quarter, we had to draw and fire using “point shooting” (no sights). 2 inch, level pattern at 7 yards, 3 shots, rapid fire.

“I believe [X], therefore everyone must [Y].”

The typical thought process of a liberal. Whatever they believe, we must abide by (well, us law abiding citizens, that is). In this case, it’s disarmament.

Very similar to the phrase that describes leftism as well:
“Somebody craps their pants and we all have to wear diapers”

You're absolutely right. Liberalism is emotions and things that sound good / feel good unbounded by reality and facts.

I believe that in a time of crisis, there is no such thing as a good shot.

I firmly believe that many crisis can be averted and/or ended by the application of a single well-aimed bullet. What is it the Army snipers say? "One shot, one kill."

Did you hear that Glock has a new model coming out in response to the Wisconsin situation?

It’s called the “Union” model - it does not work and you can’t fire it. :-)

It’s purely about theft of assets.

They borrow money from the Chinese, with agreements to keep swathes of American mineral deposits unreachable with environmental laws (why would ANYONE lend so much money unsecured?). They give the borrowed money to their allies, and use it to attack their enemies. Finally they plan to disarm the people in case they should disagree with this tactic.

Glad Gail Collins wasn't running the show during WW2.

We would all be speaking German now.

So then why bother calling the police? They will be using their guns in a time of crisis after all.

Ping to remember that - good analogy.
