I respect your mind , but I see a lack of faith. If it so important TO YOU, send the money to the hospital, and forget God and His power.
Jesus words were for comfort, and His actions were all Godly. Are we not JOINT HEIRS able to call on our Father, in Heaven, not the resident Dr...
We can argue, but your faith is obviously in a different place. Sorry to bother your consciences with God! Keep complainiing about us and don’t bother replying to me. Preach to your choir! They all have the same mind... But it does NOT seem like the mind of God, to me.
Good night and may you know the Mind of God!
Our Lord told us to give food and drink to the hungry and thirsty, comfort the sick, I believe Him and you call that a lack of faith?
Jesus words were for comfort,
Correct, He said that if we did these things we would have everlasting life, that is comforting. Unfortunately, YOU advocate not doing them.
We can argue, but your faith is obviously in a different place.
Yes, your faith and mine is quite obviously in a different place.
Preach to your choir! They all have the same mind... But it does NOT seem like the mind of God, to me.
"To me," is the operative statement in what you wrote.
Really? Do you play with snakes?
Jesus' words are to be taken literally.
And the knowledge to heal comes from God. My God is a huge God that can work through doctors. I don't keep Him in a box. It's too bad your god is only allowed to work within your parameters.
Following your reasoning to its logical conclusion, then we shouldn’t treat any physical medical condition. We should just let people die if it’s God’s will.
Don’t remove an infected appendix, don’t set a broken bone, don’t do an emergency c-section for a woman having trouble delivering, no insulin for diabetics, and the list goes on.
If an Epi-Pen saves the life of someone having an anaphylactic reaction, are we crossing God’s will? Shouldn’t re rather let the person die?
All those treatments are artificially prolonging life. It’s a matter of degree between those methods and something like a feeding tube or life support.
Just trust in the power of God next time you want to pop a pill for something, or consider going to the doctor.
Now, I realize that you think Jesus was not being serious when he told us to give the hungry and thirsty food and water in Matthew 25, though I must say I don't know what cult it is that teaches this.
Now as to your other assertions, answer this for me:
1. Do you take any type of medication, be it OTC or prescribed? If so, does this not contradict your previous statement?
2. Have you ever had or would you ever have an operation? If so, does this not contradict your previous statement?
3. Do you feed yourself or is all of your nourishment provided through your faith?
4. Why would a person with as much faith as you claim to have write such a pathetic diatribe in which you beg FReepers for $100 BILLION?:
