Having read the full text of the threat, and having read a hell of a lot of student writing in my time, I'd guess the author as being a moderately bright 16- or 17-year-old white suburban high school girl or college freshman with literary pretensions, an irrational idealization of the leftist radicals of the 1960s, an anarchist idiot boyfriend about two years older who has filled her head full of quasi-political nonsense, a completely fallacious understanding of the protections the 1st Amendment affords free speech, and no concept at all of what "tried as an adult" means.

And unless and until she's kicked upstairs out of the juvenile court system, we'll never know anything more about her.

I note particularly that they put the word "Republican" in the title. After all, the threats were against Republicans, weren't they?

Of course, the real reason for doing that is to create or reinforce an irrational association between the words "Republican" and "death threats". Which is all that most readers will take away from this thing.
