This was no isolated incident, any more than Nidal Malik Hasan, the army major who killed 13 soldiers and wounded 32 others at Ft. Hood was isolated. Mark Steyn in his seminal work, America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It, ridiculed the political and the media elites for fretting about global warming, when the real threat facing the West was radical Islamism

Europe has died, it's not coming back. Political correctness prevailed and Islamism rules. All we can do now is put up the bulwarks here in a America.

look, there's still a lot of fight in any of us. there are many ways to support the cause of liberty and righteousness that don't require extreme measures. you can support right-thinking politicians; you can be a leader in your circle and be the "go to" person who can calmly rebut all the leftist drivel; if you are a church-attender, then you can pray for the cause of righteousness as well as for our leaders, yes, even the president, that he learns to lead justly and that all leaders will have a change of heart and do good for our nation and neighbors. if you're not a believer then volunteer and help your neighbor.

FR has taught me a lot, and I love it here, but where my family is, where my neighbors are....is else.

I am there, making waves.

The biggest thing that I am hindered by is that my adversaries (read close ones) are not stupid. Ignorant in some things yes.

And I am not perfect.

I go where they are.

Not much to be won preaching to the choir.
