Maybe California should be concerned.

I keep asking this for over a decade now: what will this country do if California become an island? My faith in this country was so unshakable that I would have previously answered this question by saying that the country would be OK; that this nation always rises to a great challenge and its economy is very strong.

The faith was shaken by Sep 11, when one half of Americans said that we ourselves are at fault, that Sepp was "chickens coming home to roost." If Sep 11 couuld split the nation like this, would it come together after a natural disaster?

And the increasing debt told me a few years back that we might be unable to borrow our way out of a disaster. After Obama's deficits, I know that we'll be unable to do so.

So I do pray that no huge disaster happens soon, whether in California or Midwest. If it does that would also be an ideal crisis for the Leftist to consolidate power --- all the way to the marshal law.

You are right, of course, that displacements of plates such as that in Japan don't usually happen only in one place. LIke you, I would not be surprised to see another serious earthquake --- in California, Midwest, Central America, Turkey or Iran. South America is possible, of course, but some tension has already been relived in the Chilean earthquake. Hope I am wrong and all goes well.

“one half of Americans said that we ourselves are at fault, that Sepp was “chickens coming home to roost.””

A quarter maybe, but not a half. Even though half votes democrat, they don’t all sign up for the Murtha/Pelosi agenda
