We’re left today with two Sarah Palins: the one the media portrays and the real one. They bear no resemblance to each other.

We’re smart
That's why I pretty much discount any of the current polling data. Those polls reflect the public's general impression of the media caricature more so than the real Sarah Palin.
Should she choose to run, her real competition won't be the other candidates, it will be to see if the truth can smash through the media construction. The caricature is so far off from reality, I don't see how it can possibly stand.
