MEANWHILE... back to that Florida case... Hasn’t Vinson’s deadline come and gone? I haven’t heard anything about him ordering a full-blwn injunction, but I gotta believe that it’s about that time, eh?
The DOJ filed it’s Notice of Appeal of the Vinson decision last Thursday night, then followed up with a request to expedite the schedule, as Vinson ordered. So his 7-day stay expired with that filing.
Vinson’s opinion stands unless and until it is overturned by a higher court. It frees those states who wish, to stop any further implementation of the law until such a reversal, and also stays the Administration from implementing it further (not that they will).
