ANGELES – LOS ANGELES -- The chancellor of the University of California, Los Angeles said Monday he was "appalled by the thoughtless and hurtful comments" that a white student made about her Asian classmates in a video that has drawn national attention.
Alexandra Wallace posted a three-minute rant on YouTube called "Asians in the Library," in which she criticizes the school for accepting "these hordes of Asian people" who she said have no manners and invite their extended family to visit on the weekends. The UCLA political science student also faulted Asian students for disrupting her studies at the library by calling family members in the wake of the tsunami.
"I'll be in, like, deep into my studying, into my political science theories and arguments and all that stuff, getting it all down, like typing away furiously, blah, blah, blah, and then all of a sudden when I'm about to, like, reach an epiphany, overhear from somewhere, `Oh ching chong ling long ting tong, ooohh," she said.

Its called the 1st Amendment. If the Westboro Baptist Church can protest at soldiers funerals ala the Supreme Court then this student can rant about Asians in the library. Deal with it........

This young lady WOULDN’T be in any trouble if she was not “white”. But, it was in the first few lines that this student was “white”, and therefore “guilty” of racism.

I’ll bet a box of doughnuts a rap “artist” picks this up and the album goes gold.
If memory serves, the quota on Asians is used to exclude them in California colleges. Wouldn’t want, like, too many of those, you know, slanty-eyed devils raising academic standards with their, like, hard work and studying and stuff.

Look, that's not just that girl's complaint ~ in 15 years when those kids got their own kids and they want some special asian cooking DEMONSTRATED TO THEM ~ like so they can know how grandma did stuff ~ like their OWN heritage ~ those people are not going to know how to do it.
They could be like one I've heard of who had no idea that celery sticks with peanut butter didn't come from the grocery store that way!
They'll be joining ACLU or ACA or maybe even a Philipino church group, or a VietNamese temple's lady's group ~ and participating in the Spring and or Fall festivals just for the chance to learn how to make FRIED NOODLES from a Gaijing!
Alas, the complexity of Cha Gio, Mondo, Wonton, and a roast pig will forever after lie beyond their culinary talents ~ and that's all thanks to good ol'grandma who didn't want her son or daughter to turn into restaurant help.

This is what will save her. She will just get on TV and cry. Now if this was a 50 year old white male working at UCLA we all know what would happen.
Clue to any asian-American girls out there, you want a smart guy, figure out both a long term strategy, as well as that short term strategy, to attract his attention.
Start with goyoza (frozen, and later home-made), and move on up to inari sushi and maki sushi ~ learn to watch anime with him!
Although there are a good number of asian students on the main campus at Ann Arbor they weren't wasting their time and money (right at Spring Break) to go mess around with the basketball business.
Maybe they feel EXCLUDED by the height standards!
She’s just doing her schtick ~ this is a comedy routine with a lot more body than most ~ well organized to attract the attention of even hard core Koreans who refuse to accept that Margaret Cho is one of their own ~ BTW, some of Margaret’s routines are unbelievably funny. Most people are left flat of course since so many of her cultural references are so obscure.

We all know Asians get better grades, and now I think I have figured out why!
It’s because they take turns sending someone to talk on their cellphone in the library interrupting the studies of whites (and oppressed minorities) while the Asians are studying in some other area uninterrupted!
Those crafty Asians.

I have not seen the video, but presume this person is from the “assorted other minority” group.
They seem to feel that they have a license for Open Season on Asians, because they work hard and are too successful. And dammit, that just isn’t FAIR!!!
No one oppressed the Chinese railroad workers ~ they were paid. Now there might have been some folks who though they were oppressing them, but they were fools. Many of those men returned to China and other places throughout Eastasia and made fortunes working with other railway companies.
Yeah, her point about cell phone use towards the end was valid. The rest was pretty useless.
I wonder what his view on the Westboro "Church" SCOTUS ruling is....?
