And make the guy identify himself? Should his identity as a cop make a difference? What “situation” did he escalate? I don’t think there was a situation. Just a guy with a rifle slung over his shoulder.
The story makes it sound as though this all happened at a crime scene where deadly force was used on a suspect. If that’s the case I wouldn’t even think about carrying a rifle into the area.
