The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 20% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 (see trends).
Only 39% of Democrats Strongly Approve while 72% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 16% Strongly Approve and 39% Strongly Disapprove.

Really bad news for 0bama, because today’s number includes the full weekend data (Sat., Sun, and Mon.). Typically, weekend data trends better for Democrats, yet that past two polls to fully include the data from last weekend have been the lowest I’ve seen yet for him (yesterday’s -22, and today’s -21).
Overall adds to 98%. Looks like Ras polled a few “white guilt liberals” who didn’t want to appear “rayciss”.
Will he go golfing in Rio? I read where he will visit a statue of Jesus France gave Rio. The news people are repeating this point over and over like it shows something good or Christian about him...
1% musta dug his Final Four bracket...
I really don’t think he gives a damn about his polls.
Or anything else for that matter ..
In further reading an article about Obama’s Rio trip the print media gleefully noted Obama is VERY loved in Rio.
I think the rock star needs his narcissism fluffed.
He’s sunk even worse lower than the Afghanistan numbers:
52% want troops home from Afghanistan within a year.
34% of voters now think there should be no timetable for withdrawal.
15% are not sure.
APPROVAL: 42%
DISAPPROVAL: 56%
He's almost down to near record lows. 42% Approve, 56% Disapprove. I've always considered 40% his floor, doubt he can go any lower due to the high number of minorities, victim groups, etc.
His "Arizona I feel your pain" bounce appears to be well and truly over.
It’s nice to see Obama back in the “Minus Twenties” but caution is advised - it is his losses in the “Strongly Approve” category that have caused the big drop. All this means is that the Daily Kos types are unhappy with O’s inability to deliver us into Communist Nirvana at a rate they find acceptable. There is ZERO CHANCE that this disapproval will translate into GOP votes in 2012. I want to see that “Strongly Disapprove” number creep up to 50%+ before I will start feeling good about this poll.
It'd be made of awesome if he brought a bucket of range balls and a new driver up there. Pepper the city with golf balls.
We have some off-year 2011 elections:
Three states - Kentucky, Mississippi and Louisiana - will elect governors in 2011, though Louisiana's election dates do not coincide with that of most states. In addition, West Virginia will be holding a special election. If the Dems do badly in 2011, that's an indicator for 2012.Nationwide, there are cities, counties, school boards, special districts and others that will elect members in 2011. Of those, some of the most high-profile include mayoral elections in Baltimore; Memphis; Chicago; Dallas; Indianapolis; Evansville; Houston; Jacksonville; Philadelphia; San Francisco; Salt Lake City; Phoenix; and Raleigh.
I think the party animal persona Obama is cultivating is starting to sink in with a lot of people.
yesterday it was -57%, which I think is his all time high (didn’t go back to the health care months). As the international situation worsens, I think he rightly is being viewed as clueless child.
“I read where he will visit a statue of Jesus France gave Rio. The news people are repeating this point over and over like it shows something good or Christian about him...”
Nah, he’s just looking for a place to put up a minaret.
I agree. He feels he is all powerful and has total control of his “subjects.” He can write an executive order, or call out the National Guard to handle his “subjects” if they resist. He could give a damn about what his subjects feel...he's king!
We The People will show him otherwise.
Just another B.S. story from the lamestream media.
The statue of "Christ the Redeemer" was created by a French-Polish sculptor named Paul Landowski, but was not a gift from the nation or people of France.
It appears they have conflated the circumstances of this statue's origin with the origin of the Statue of Liberty.
