IT'S a tale of David and Goliath at an outer western Sydney school - with Goliath fighting back against his much smaller schoolyard bully.
But now the bully's mother has retaliated against her son's victim and the video footage of the fight which has gone viral.
The emotional mother of Ritchard Gale, Tina, told the Seven Network last night that she and her family have been victimised by the footage, which has spread worldwide. She also demanded an apology from the victim.
"We don't need this posted everywhere," she said. "I would like him to apologise."
She said she was "shocked" at her son's behaviour, but did not think he deserved to be bodyslammed by Year 10 student Casey Heynes at Chifley College's Dunheved Campus, St Marys.
"I was actually shocked because I always brought my three children up to walk away from fights," she said.
The video footage of the Year 7 boy, who was hurled to the ground after trying to start a fight with the larger student, was taken down from the YouTube website, but has been posted on websites globally.
At thetelegraph.com.au, the footage was viewed four times more than the devastation that has struck Japan.
The controversy over whether Casey's retaliation was appropriate dominated website and radio programs yesterday and became the subject of global online forums.
The international interest comes on the eve of the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence. The focus of tomorrow's campaign will be bystanders.
Mum sounds like a low life major league enabler of her son's punk attitude.
She had better be glad he just got body slammed...in other countries(including our own) it might have been a bullet to the head.
The bully was hoping to use the video to victimise his victim in perpetuity on the net and, instead, has been hoist upon his own petard with this video to follow and haunt him all the days of his pathetic life.
Good.
Goes to show that the culture of victimhood isn’t limited to Northern U.S. cities.
I’m not sure who the bully is. Apparently, the small kid who got body slammed started the fight. Maybe they are both bullies.

You haven't watched the video yet? It's clear who the aggressor was---the little lightfoot punk actually hit the chubby kid in the face, which triggered the mighty body slam in return.
The tall punk at the end of the video looks like he might cause trouble for Casey in the future. He MUST be located and be told he must get his mind right.
This lame chick needs to be dropped like her bully-twig-of-a-son.
Yeah, I posted the earlier article but it seems that she has had a change of heart. No more apology from her punk son. Now she wants the boy who was bullied to apologize. Like I said: a major league enabler.
No, but the article says the big kid was the bully.
I say, don’t get mad, get even. I was big and fat when I was a kid and I did get picked on - but eventually, I would catch someone who had done it alone and they would pay a “heavy” price. Back in that day, no one would go cry to Mommy about this sort of thing, bully or victim - it was like being in the Mafia or in prison.
I had a most enjoyable experience when I was in high school - I found out that a kid who picked on me when I was a kid and washed my face out with snow (more than once) had transferred to that school. I had since grown about 7 inches taller, lost some weight, and had turned at least some of the remaining fat into muscle - and he didn’t get much taller at all. I can still hear the satisfying sound of the metal locker door wrapping around his head as the rivets holding the hinges popped out...yes, he survived.
That was a great scene. The older boy was a gentleman and well restrained. I hope the younger punk learned a lesson.
Back in the day this would be chalked up to a lesson learned by the punk who started it. Mom is setting her boy up for a worse lesson down the road in life.
Ma’am, your kid’s not only a bully, he’s an idiot. He picked on somebody bigger than him, who finally figured it out, and your kid suffered the consequences. Go away.
I jumped when I saw his leg crash onto the wood. Yikes, that must have hurt but the little bisturd deserved it.
