Thanks for the recommendations - however when I clicked on the Caritas link and saw the tabs for "Economic Justice" and "Climate Change" (which also included an inner tab for "Climate Justice"), I felt like I should have been breaking out into a rousing rendition of the Commie Anthem: "The Internationale".
I presume the Caritas people do good work - but their website gave me the eebie-jeebies. I'll stick with Samaritan's Purse and the Salvation Army (and maybe Partners International ... without the last "e"). Thanks nonetheless.
Thank you for supporting the suffering Japanese people, via any one of Jesus' Ten Thousand Ways to Love.
If you go to the Caritas Japan page and donate via the Aid-to-Japan link, that is where it goes.
I donated and followed up with a question, got this answer:

Hello XXXXX,
Thank you for your email and for your donation.
Be assured that if you donated via the Support our work in Japan link that the donation will be designated for that purpose.
I see every donation after it is processed so I will ensure that it is attributed to the Caritas Japan appeal.
Warm wishes,
Nigel Wallace
