OK, you may have more sense than she does.

So, in light of the situation, have you given more than she has to help the people in Japan?

If I had 2 millions dollars to give to charity, it certainly wouldn’t go down a rat hole in Haiti or to the Red Cross.
I would give it to help my own people in my own country.

Nice gesture. Unfortunately she donated to the notorious Red Cross.

No matter the frequency and scale of Red Cross waste, fraud and diversion scandals people keep throwing money at them when disaster strikes.

Your link doesn't reflect your claim and this interview about playing a Southern Christian Republican in "The Blind Side" doesn't suggest she had objections. She had concerns about her ability to make the role believable.

No a good plan. We've given 'them' 4 Trillion dollars, with a T, and look what it's gotten us.

Bullock objected to playing a Christian:

Where's that quote on the link you provided? I couldn't find it.

She married the money

No wonder her husband hasn't dumped her - it would cost him a fortune to cut off that rotten appendage!

Sandra Bullock doesn’t give money for public admiration. She does it consistently. Her wealth is no reason to scoff at the donation.

Scoffing? No, just putting into perspective.

There are countless people who, while the dollar amount has been less, have given "more" that Sandra Bullock's $1 million donation, because it was a much greater financial sacrifice for them to give the money. Yet these people are rarely honored, much less mentioned, because the total dollar amount isn't a large splashy number.
