Is it greater or less than the percentage of folks in the Sunni triangle, whom we eventually allied with to defeat Al Qaeda in Iraq?

The problem is that - unlike in Iraq - we won't have troops on the ground to help defeat the Islamists in Libya. Because the American people are tired of fighting these little wars that evolve in $100b a year exercises in nation-building.

You haven't established that the Islamists are actually present in statistically significant numbers.

If you want to describe anti-Qaddafi forces as Islamists of the Al Qaeda stripe, you best be able to prove it.

But let's not mince words, you're not going to be able to prove it, because it's a stupid assertion on the face of it.

And who said we'd have to provide extensive military support, or rebuild Libya? Are we being required to rebuild either Egypt or Tunisia?
