So far radiation levels read consistently under 50. I saw a report recently that says the weather system out of Japan is carrying contamination northward towards Alaska, Arctic and Greenland

Historical readings average about 28 for Los Angeles. A moment ago I saw a reading of 65 on the LA geiger counter. To put this in perspective -- 100 is considered to be high.
Note: This is just a small sample from Santa Monica. It is not official. That single unit might be out of order. Then, again, local radiation levels may actually be going up.
