CNN just had on a Middle East expert from England that predicted this is a war we are in unless Gadhafi leaves on his own. There is no indication he is leaving. The only way to get rid of him is to do it with ground troops. Air power alone is not sufficient. It looks like Obama has got us into another war. The only country with a big enough military to take out Gadhafi is the USA. So it looks like it is going to fall on us to do the dirty work.

Then (i.e., afterwards) the US launches Tomahawks to make air strikes secure....
It sounds to me like Sarkozy got tired of Obama's dithering and kicked him in the aXX, by launching and thereby forcing the US to step up..
