I wondered if the tsunami had affected the resort. Sorry to hear it had. Was there in 2004 for three nights and always wanted to go back. Loved their food...expecially the banana macadamia nut pancakes!

We were in Kona a couple of days ago.
Alii Drive is already open as are all the shops/restaurants that we saw.
Didn't know about the 4 Seasons closing till April, though, and the news about The Kona Village Hotel is a surprise.
Downtown Kona itself seems to have survived just fine.
