TV anchor's away with $$ (MSNBC deadbeat Alex Witt won't pay back $65k loan from friend)

Don't bank on this friendship any longer.

Alex Witt, a blonde, blue- eyed weekend anchor for MSNBC, is being sued by her former best friend for failing to repay a $65,000 loan.

Stephanie Jones charges that Witt had enough dough to take a trip to Barcelona with her daughter and drive a Porsche 911, but not to pay back a dear friend. Witt eventually agreed to pay Jones $500 a month, but has done so sporadically, forking over just $1,375, according to the lawsuit Jones filed last week in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Jones last heard from Witt last summer, and waited patiently as the television host inked a $200,000 contract from MSNBC in the fall.

Not too sure you’re right about that. Have you ever been to Oktoberfest? I’ve seen beautiful, 20 y/o, blonde, blue eyed goddesses age 20 years between closing time and daylight. Must be something in the beer.

Never loan more than you’re willing to give away.

If you want to see the complete opposite, go to a model party. At 4 am all the makeup is starting to melt and they are all coked up. By 6 am they are incapable of accurately putting on makeup. You think you are in a morgue. Saddest site I ever seen.

Interesting to see one of the elitists experiencing the Obama economy. She probably just blames Bush.

What’s the surprise? Just another deadbeat liberal who refuses to pay her own debt.

This requires more study. Um, do you think you could invite me along to the next "model party" you attend?

Regards,

This elitist should have slashed her family expenses dramatically and immediately rather than go into deeper debt by borrowing from a friend.

And her husband needs to come to grips with the fact that he’s not going to find a comparable job to what he’s had in the past.

They both need a serious reality check. And the kids should start making plans for paying for college themselves while their parents try to get out from under the mess they’ve created for themselves.

I no longer live in NYC. I was fortunate to get an invite from a friend of mine in the industry.

I’m more of a Texas Tea Party BBQ person. Food is good, women are naturally beautiful and people are not snooty.

All true.

Like to ask Ms. Witt, “How’s that hope and change thing working out for you?”

She should tell the Judge it wasn’t just a loan but was actually a TARP loan. Then she can cite GM as her precedent and get out of paying it back.

Yep. I have done it twice. I did get paye back by one with some intervention from someone else. The friend told me to never loan him money again. The family member well not going to happen.

There are three things you should NEVER do.

1. Take the news at face value.
2. Trust a politician to keep his word.
or
3. Lend money to a friend.

More often than not, it’ll all end badly.

Loaning money to family or friends is almost always a bad idea.

I agree.

If you want your adult kids to have money for something you consider necessary, it's best just to give the money, if possible. If you expect to get paid back, it might not happen, and hard feelings are the result.
