McCain: Obama should have acted faster ("we need, now, to support" Obama)

President Barack Obama should have moved sooner against Libyan leader Moammar Qadhafi, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Sunday.

Earlier action, the senator said on CNN's "State of the Union," would have been more effective in weakening the grip of the controversial leader, who's deployed his forces against rebelling civilians.

"He waited too long, there is no doubt in my mind about it," McCain said of the president. "But now, it is what it is. And we need, now, to support him and the efforts that our military are going to make. And I regret that it didn't - we didn't act much more quickly, and we could have."

There are $30 million reasons he was reelected. Much of it from his presidential campaign.

Pray for America

It seems like Obama's only willing to help those who are more an enemy of the US than their present government of the given nation.

That means, don't hold your breath for Obama to take action in Iran. He's satisfied with the level of anti-americanism within the already established government. No change needed. Judging by Obama's pattern, I would imagine Obama's next war will be with Kuwait.

“Operation Odyssey Dawn”

It’s a dreamy, fabulous name evocative of the new ‘flamboyant’ influence in today’s military. /sarc

“these ‘revolutions’ are part of a plan to create an islamic sharia state under the control of iran.”

Exactly right. Iran wants to set up a caliphate.

McCain's machine is pretty tough....he is most disappointing to say the least. John McCain is an opportunist at best! and now that he, "the great war hero" has joined forces with an American Traitor, liar, cheat, and thief, John Kerry, we can only hope Arizona citizens will rise up as one, get behind their governor and start hitting back at Washington, DC the best way they can.....by obeying the Law.

Man! Am I disgusted! Thank heavens, we have Jon Kyl, pretty much a man of his word!

"He gave so much for this country..."

He lost two multimillion dollar jets or was it three? Letting the enemy beat on you for five years when you had a few other choices...he never fought.....what did he give other than bad decisions. I am not one of those who chooses to give him kudos for torture when thousands of other service men and women captives experienced the same. McCain is not the sharpest knife in the drawer....someone is getting rich somewhere because of his reelection....bad, bad, choice!

WE should not support this action.

Just as is happening in Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, etc, once the leadership is gone we have no idea what or who will be the replacement.

They could be every bit as brutal as the other regimes in the beginning and suppress the natural rights of their citizens with no one to stop them.

Additionally, those new in power would have nothing to lose by being hostile to America or any other country.

They likely will come from positions in society that never afforded them the luxuries and posh lifestyles they will enjoy.

We don’t need the Muslim Brotherhood running these countries.

What we do need is an ordered change with people we support.

This whole mess is going to end in chaos.

We need now to again thank the Republicans in Arizona who renominated him in the primary.
