Some members of the Church (including some clergy) have marched leftward. The Church has not.

Sorry, will have to disagree with you.

I suggest you read the entire study which conclusively proves that the leftists are not outliers in the Catholic hierarchy, but the current iteration of orthodoxy.

You must be aware that the USCCB is the face of Catholicism in the U.S., every single one of their “social justice,” positions are straight out of the leftist playbook.

Was funding ACORN just a leetle mistake?

Was working directly and funding Saul Alinsky just an oversight?

Is liberation theology a debatable theological proposition in Catholicism?

Don’t think so.

They really don’t care about abortion at all, if they did they would be battering down the doors of the Senate to make sure Planned Parenthood’s funding was pulled.

You can relate all the anectodal references, read the Church’s official documents.

We have a serious problem Houston...

I believe, very strongly, that we, the laity, need to be led to the truths of "what is wrong" with our leaders (USCCB) AND BECOME FOLLOWERS, OR LISTENERS, AT LEAST, TO THE YOU TUBE talks that are given by MICHAEL VOORHEES (sp?) when he uses RealCatholicTV and speaks through "The Vortex".

Some of it is very strong in objections or points that Michael makes, but most often I can see one of these -- and clearly and form my own thought and decide that what I think has been a mistake by one, or other, or all of the USCCB, through Michael's Vortex -- and his inevitably correct Catholic thinking.

Unfortunately, our realization of "something wrong" makes us part of what is called The Church Militant, as if we are speaking out just to cause unnecessary conflict.

So much of "Catholic Thought" is faulty in its line of reason --- and fortunately, can be justifiably ignored or pointed out, as wrong by individual Catholics with no attached sin or error. The Absolutes" are inconvenient for the USCCB to put on the top of their agendas. This boggles my mind!
