Unlikely that such paranoia is justified. But that doesn’t mean someone isn’t out to get us.

Legally bond ownership establishes no land claim or are you speaking of morally?

Try them, then hang them.

are you speaking of morally?

Yep, but more generally.

Because the bonds were purchased by China, the debt is essentially between sovereign nations. US treasury bonds were not specifically designed to accomplish this type of lending, so there is not a lot of precedent here.

Historically, repudiated debt between sovereign nations, without agreement, has led to serious consequences, (read: war), so I'd like to NOT have that happen.

Ironic, the Chicoms don't want socialist entitlement policy to devalue their investment.

China historically was more likely to be the attacked than the attacker so I don’t worry about actual warfare. And they are in a position that their prosperity is tied to ours.

But I do wonder why they aren’t cashing their bonds in now when they are at the highest they can realistically get. They could always buy them back when interest rates rise which they will eventually have to do.

Repudiation is not likely even if the RATs regain control.

I agree, but I don’t want to tempt fate, when it is so easy to earn our way out of the problem by responsible spending and economic policy.

Truth in a nutshell - I’m impressed silverleaf.

Why Unions will never rule America, at least for very long.
Plan A:
1) Destroy the wealth!
2) Redistribute it!
3) D’OH!!

Why union leaders are descended from now-extinct barbarian tribes- A barbarian’s battle plan:
1) Rape
2) Burn
3) Pillage and loot
4) D’OH!

Just as Beck reveals this piece, the NYT’s is at it again...saying Beck is leaving Fox. I’m sure they wish it was true, and doing their best to distract from todays great investigation piece from Beck.

Well, do the unions and radicals not realize that if they destroy the economy, who will pay for those big fat union wages, pensions, and benefits? Grey Eagle

Now, do these oxygen thieves realize that if they destroy the stock and bond markets....most union pensions are invested heavily in these two markets......they’ll be destroying all their pensions along with them?

Oh well, we’ll worry about that later, but first anarchy.

When you try to destroy others you wind up destroying yourself in the process.

These people are boundlessly ignorant.

May I disagree? I think they're reasonably intelligent, and briefed if not educated by people who really understand financial systems (Soros and his many, many associates would all qualify), and have an idea what they're doing, and how it would achieve their goals.

I'd put your statement a little more like this:

...there is no limit to how stupid malicious they can be. Their future is equal misery for all.....

Like that. What do you think?

Well, the game is afoot.

The question is whether or not these scu&bags will hide behind cutesy refrains like “for the children”, or will they come right out and say what they’re up to?

(One guesses they’re called subversives for a reason.)

IMHO
