I bought a hand gun 2 years ago. Yes, the pink revolvers are very cute and stylish...but...I ruled against buying one.
The dark color of the solid back revolver is far less noticeable. The last thing I wanted to do was draw attention to the defensive weapon that might save my life. This is especially true at night and dark places.
I think you raise a great point as well as for not trying to draw unnecessary attention to yourself and your weapon.
Further can you imagine a prosecuting attorney trying to grill a person who has had to use such a gun defensively and convincing enough people on the jury they weren’t take shooting someone seriously, because they bought a gun that was “cute” and bejewelled and pink.
