Sen. Scott Brown will support tax money for Planned Parenthood

Sen. Scott Brown, R-MA, is one of the only Senate Republicans who favor legal abortion. So today’s news that he will vote to keep tax money for Planned Parenthood is not shocking, but it is still disappointing.

Catholics, especially in Massachusetts, can let their voices be heard by calling Senator Brown’s office at (202) 224-4543.

Here’s the statement that Senator Brown issued today:

“I support family planning and health services for women. Given our severe budget problems, I don’t believe any area of the budget is completely immune from cuts,” he said. “However, the proposal to eliminate all funding for family planning goes too far. As we continue with our budget negotiations, I hope we can find a compromise that is reasonable and appropriate.”

Except it isn’t reasonable or appropriate to give this notorious organization another dime.

Since you think JFK did such a great job at the Bay of Pigs, what do you think of your Senator Scott “Take my daughter, please” Brown?

I put hundreds of push cards from Mass Citizens For Life on windshields of cares at a dozen churches. Not next time.

if we can't even cut federal funding for abortion... there is NO hope of ever cutting the deficit, ever.

Scott Brown was elected by independent (unenrolled) women.

Abortion is their sacrament.

He's going to be reelected (overwhelmingly) next year - but not if he turns against abortion.

Let’s look at it this way — in Massachusetts, you only have choices between two evils — the GREATER (Martha Coakley) and the LESSER ( Scott Brown ).

Brown promised to oppose Obamacare and that was THE ISSUE during the elections then. If you can find someone else more conservative than Brown in Mass, more power to you. I’ll support him/her over Brown.

Had Coakley won, we’d have government funding of Planned Parenthood AND Obamacare.

There are no good choices in that state as far as I can see. If Mitt Romney is the best we can get out of it, the state is a lost cause.

But he’s a hell of a lot better than the alternative, and in MA, there IS NOT a Conservative who’s electable statewide.

Part of the problem is the State Republican party, should have had a candidate like Curt Schilling ready to go.

Shilling had far more name recognition than Brown. Brown was a total unknown. Curt Shilling could have won that race and not carried any political baggage like totally unknown Scott Brown.

I would have bet if you asked voters outside his District to name a state republican senator at that time, Scott Brown wouldn't be named. - Tom

To the surprise of no one paying attention. The guy had that “special kind of scumbag” vibe from day one.

But at least he stopped the health care bill. Oh wait...

OK, all you Snot Brown-stain apologists, tell me again how he’s SO MUCH BETTER than Marcia Coakley.

Actually, don’t bother, because my replies will be XXX rated.

I have given this guy a TON more leeway than most FREEPERS but this is the last straw.

I knew Brown was up in 2012 anyway which was why I enthusiastically supported him in 2010. No way would I support this clown for a full Senate term now. He served his purpose, at least he voted against Obamacare. I don't buy the argument anymore that since he's from Mass. he's the best Republicans should hope for. Bullfeces. You saw what happened to Mike Castle and other RINOs in the primaries last year. I would prefer a Rat to win that seat than Brown again.
