You can already get the existing phones pretty cheap if you wait a couple months after release.

Whats expensive is the 2 year contract they rope you into.

I wonder if the decline in global prices for phones and other high tech devices offsets the rise in the cost of oil and other commodities.

Huwei sucks big time. I had one and it lasted one month then froze up while I was looking at a sprint ad for the HTC Evo. I now am more than 100% happy with the EVO.

“Price-conscious Europe” = Poor Europe, where The small working class pays for the non-working class to own smartphones.

Their explanation of lower chinese prices is also false. Near slave-labor and very lax patent infringement enforcement make their low prices possible.
