In the ‘80s, country was smooth crossover like Eddie Rabbit, Restless Heart, and Alabama. I never liked his music, but I guess he’s notable for bringing the redneck twang back to country. Ironic, since he always said he was a rock fan at heart.

Not being a Super Bowl fan I don't remember that video but I remember something. Maybe that at the height of his career he had a mental breakdown and said he was giving up singing.
