"I am accustomed to this contradiction of being both a commander-in-chief but also someone who aspires to peace," President Obama told a CNN reporter in El Salvador.
Later in the interview Obama says he doesn't think "the American people don't see any contradiction in somebody who cares about peace also wanting to make sure that people aren't butchered because of a dictator who wants to cling to power."
Several countries and people, such as Michael Moore, have called for Obama to return the award he received shortly after his inauguration.

It is stupid even for him to consider giving it back. That is like an actor giving back their Academy Award because his next three movies stunk. Does not pass the smell test. If he did not earn the award then they should never have awarded it to him. It was the Nobel Peace Prize committee and it is way too late to take it back. Although nobody really even remembers he received it until some story comes along.
I think this was Obama's career goal when he declared his candidacy for President.

Why does everyone bring her into every story. You know she has not been in the media for months and I like it that way. How the heck are we supposed to forget her if you and others keep bringing her into the picture. She brings no value to this story or any other.

To think Obama thinks he can simply say "I'm keeping it" is absolute arrogance. They can revoke the granting of the prize even if he keeps the token prize like an a$$.
The inanity of Norwegian socialists bestowing a peace award named for the inventor of dynamite, and formerly bestowed upon one of the world’s foremost terrorists, Yassir Arafat, on a man who merely won an election which did not alter war policy is beyond me. That he is presently waging a new and undeclared war on a nation that was in no way a threat to the U.S. is just icing on the cake.

He should never have received the Cracker Jack prize in the first place.
But this is no reason to give it back, either.
I can think of a whole slew who had that problem for the eight years prior to this administration.
