OK, I think I found the right forum for this. I am U.S. military in Bahrain. I just sent my wife and four children back to the U.S. I tried to call L’Auberge hotel in Lake Charles, LA to get a reservation for them because my wife is from that area and I want a safe place for them to stay. I kept getting black people in reservations and they could not comprehend my situation. They had no idea where or what Bahrain was (or the Middle East for that matter) and would not give me a reservation for more than two days. In addition, they would not let me talk with a manager. I am very frustrated and do not want to sound racist, but there really is a difference between races.
Perhaps a FReeper from the Lake Charles area will go to the L’Auberge and explain it to them by hand...
