Oh no, I insist - straight from my brain to your ears.

Besides, you've expressed interest/ridicule in my thinking. that's the first step....this is how it goes......

"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

— Arthur Schopenhauer, German philosopher (1788 – 1860)

Game on.

And you are just slinging mud. But you do remind us of a major problem with the other announced candidates. They don't have much of a popular following. And its because some of them, such as Romney, are totally lacking in the common touch. Obama, whatever else he lacks, is rapport with his audiences.

Reminding me of something said. He said that he wondered how anyone made it in politics without some of the skills of an actor. When we think of Lincoln, we think of someone like Raymond Massey delivering his lines from a statuesque pose. But Many reports say that when he got riled up, he would thrown his arms around and this greatly appealed to his crowds. Not only Illinois crowds, but also the audience at his famous Copper Union speech in NYC that "made him" a candidate for the presidency. He would even run his big hands through his hair which was in quite a state by the time he finished.

Huey Long had this same rumpled, agitated stump style, but Huey was probably the smartest man ever to rise to national prominence, and when he began to make his run for the Presidency, he became MUCH more restrained. He learned to talk to the movie camera. He began to stay away from the flashy suits. A natural actor. Palin would be better off if she worked on lowering her voice. For a little girl she has a BIG voice, which well serves her well as a platform speaker. But tone it down, a little cooler for the TV camera. (Although, I notice that the other ladies on Fox also have high-pitched voices.). What I like about Diane Sawyer, a very pretty woman herself.

If it is true in the first place.

I’d like her to run, if she runs a good solid conservative campaign, with none of that Title Nine stuff she loves to talk about — or that politically correct dreck she and McCain spouted during the 2008 campaign about “greed on Wall Street.”

Go Sarah!!

Well, Golllllleeeeee!

A female Gomer Pyle.

Even Gomer had more smarts than Sgt. Carter.

You’ll have to do better than that to convince me there is nothing there, as you state.

Polybius—you’re right.

We might as well just throw in the towel right now.

After all, even though the only poll that matters occurs in November, 2012, your poll numbers show we cannot possibly win.

So, which detention center are you willing to let Obama and his minions to send you to in 2013?

Here’s a clue - one cannot post here without being a Freeper! Are you implying something but saying nothing? Remember the rules!

I was wondering the same thing. Please elaborate the "rules".

I have taken it upon myself to keep putting doses of Reality into the Sarah Palin Kool-Aid.

Which does then tell us you have someone else in mind, which is fine, but don't rain on the parade of those who do support her. Be up front...name your candidate, unless i just didn't see it here.

I think there are many undecided about Palin.....even she herself I believe. The whole idea of people running is to see who's there, and equally as much who the candidates see they will REALLY be up against by running. IMO Nobody can beat Palin at this point, against BO that is. But things are certainly fluid in our country and we might see someone on the Democratic side step up against BO as well. Still too soon.

Palin would be better off if she worked on lowering her voice.

There is a tendency for Palin and Bachmann to hit higher frequencies the more excited/impassioned they get. Hillary Clinton is another. Understandable, nut not good. Not as bad as a Linda McCartney duet or a cat getting it tail caught in the vacuum cleaner, but it's not good listening.

In my history, an impassioned woman using that voice has always meant trouble. Mom, teachers, sisters, soon to be ex-girlfriends, etc...when any of them hit those frequencies with intent, it wasn't going to be pleasant. So, I can't help it. My knee jerk reaction is to avoid having to hear that.

For all of his many faults, obama has a very good voice and he does know how to use it. Not good for much else, but he does well with what he has and his teleprompter tells him to say. In politics or radio, just look where a good voice can take you.

"Someone else"?

DEFINITELY!

Somebody specific?

No.

I believe that it is still waaaaaay too early to hear from the nominee that will eventually win the nomination in the current, very weak field.

When did we first hear about the nominees that seemed to come out of nowhere to eventually be elected President? When did we first hear about Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton or Barack Obama? Not this early in the game.

The people we are hearing about right now are the old retreads like Romney and Huckabee and the perpetual attention whores such as Newt Gingrich.

So, I have no idea who will win the Republican nomination.

There is, however, a very good chance that it could be Sarah Palin since she has such a loyal core following of 40% of all Republicans. All it takes is three candidates, a split vote among the two "non-Sarahs" and, there you have it: Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

What I AM absolutely certain of, and I would bet my life against a chocolate doughnut on it, is that any candidate, such as Sarah Palin, with poll numbers so extremely toxic that SEVENTY TWO PERCENT of ALL voters in the February FOX NEWS Poll do NOT believe she would make a good President has absolutely ZERO chance whatsoever to be elected President and would absolutely GUARANTEE the reelection of Barack Obama.

Do you now see who "my candidate" is?

My candidate is "Somebody that will NOT guarantee Barack Obama reelection".

Sarah Palin WILL guarantee Obama reelection so, therefore, she is definitely NOT my candidate.

Why bother with Sarah Palin at all? Why start "raining on the parade"?

Because, unlike the dynamic between the Democrats and Nancy Pelosi (who has toxic polls numbers only slightly worse than Palin), the Republican Party actually has a sizable number of hard-core fans that seem to actually be irrational enough to nominate a candidate with such toxic numbers.

In the Echo Chamber of Free Republic, these fanatical Palin loyalists actually believe that Sarah Palin can win when 72% of all voters want nothing to do with her.

When should the rain start on the Sarah Palin parade?

When 40% of the people in a Party that represents a meager 29% of all voters irrationally support her in the Republican primaries and get Sarah Palin nominated as the Republican nominee for President of the United States by a margin of 40% to 30% to 30%?

What happens, then, when Sarah Palin is no longer preaching to her own choir in the safe Echo Chamber of Sarah Palin adoration?

What happens, then, in the general election, when Sarah Palin must compete for the votes of ALL voters and not just 40% of the 29% of all voters that make up the Republican Party?

THEN, we will have waited too long to "rain on the parade" and we will have guaranteed Barack Obama four more years in the Oval Office.

Obama has a good voice, but there is something about his cadence that annoys me. Maybe it is because it is really not a “black” voice, or any definite regional voice that I can identify. It certainly doesn’t have the same quality as Morgan Freeman’s voice nor the naturalness of Jesse Jackson. It is professorial or pulpit. I thought Edwards was better in Iowa. Herman Cain is, IMHO, a much better speaker, probably the best of the Republican bunch. Like Palin he can turn a phrase. Most of these guys are embarrassingly bad public speakers.

You know as well as I do that the only poll that will matter is that of the first primary.

Frankly with the many times you've mentioned Sarah Palin in your response, in a very negative if not defamatory way, I'd have to conclude you fall into the hate Sarah Palin crowd. Which is the very opposite of those you claim as the Palin kool-aid crowd.

I'm not a poll watcher for these can change on a dime and for that matter a dime a dozen, so calling palins numbers “Toxic” means nothing to me. What does matter is that clearly her platform is and has been conservative...and that above any other candidate tipping their hat.

The country is already split as most everyone knows...Palin has more of a chance to beat OBAma than any other on the front burner...can't hardly believe you saying Palin will gurantee Obama wins.....people may not like Palin but they sure as heck aren't going to have Obama another 8 yrs. No way..no how.

Further you have no inkling of a candidate at this point...which as said is fine, but do not rain on those who have determined their candidate...

Me thinks you're waiting for the Genie in the bottle to appear.

I was wondering the same thing...Unique just doesn’t seem to hold the same morals/values as a typical Freeper...Didn’t know that I had to go into detail about defining a Freeper. Think we’ve been infiltrated.
