Was looking around for more info on this:

“In November 2007, Al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri allegedly said the LIFG had joined his network, in an unverified audio recording posted online.”

LIFG was formed in the early 1990s in Afghanistan by Libyan militants who took up arms against Soviet occupation forces. Its stated aim is to overthrow Kadhafi’s regime and establish an Islamic state.

In March 2006, Libya released 84 jailed members of the country’s banned Muslim Brotherhood movement held since the late 1990s.

Fifty-five of those freed returned to Benghazi, Libya’s second largest city and reputed opposition stronghold that has been the scene of some of the deadliest anti-regime clashes over the past week.

Before we make too much of this,
are we certain that some doctor didn’t tell Ghadafi that all of these terrorist guys were going to die someday and so he released them on humanitarian grounds in the best british tradition?

So they were released in ‘06, returned to Benghazi, and then linked with AlQaida in ‘07, and decided to overthrow Qadaffi. So why didn’t we just let him take them out?

That's the $64,000 question...

Gaddafi regime fed names of jihadists to the CIA and to Britain

Also, check the links in my first post thereunder.

The rebels are Al Qaeda all the way.

That's the $64,000 question...

And I have been asking it from day one.

The rebels are Al Qaeda all the way.

Yep. The Muslim Brotherhood has its origins with the Nazis, ties to AlQaida, Hamas, and Hiab'allah. That bunch are a far bigger threat than Qadaffi has been in recent years, but the media have been glossing right over 9/11 and pointing at Lockerbie.

Either way, now Qadaffi is pi$$ed, and we have turned him into an energized enemy.

Stupid doesn't begin to describe it, and even "State Department" doesn't begin to describe the assaninity for which we may well all pay.

Now, if we get rid of him, who will replace Qadaffi? Will he be adamantly active against us again?

The alternative is to hand Libya over to people we already know have sworn to destroy us, and either way, we have an enemy who will use their oil revenue to wage war upon us in an unconventional way.

Destroying the capabilities (to prevent that) which add to the global marginal petroleum reserve will only cause prices to jump significantly--and do further damage to our economy.

Deer Leeder has us pretty well screwed. DuhWon should have just gone somewhere and played golf instead of letting his minions loose in the powder magazine.

thanks for this link. For the first time, it seems the dots are connecting.

So - TIMELINE: 20 Feb 2011

"TRIPOLI – Islamist gunmen have stormed a military arms depot in Libya and a nearby port and seized numerous weapons and army vehicles after killing four soldiers, a security official said on Sunday....

The group also took several hostages, both soldiers and civilians, and is “threatening to execute ...“This criminal gang assaulted an army weapons depot and seized 250 weapons, killed four soldiers and wounded 16 others” in the Wednesday operation in Derna...

Army Colonel Adnan al-Nwisri joined them and provided them with a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, three pieces of anti-aircraft artillery and 70 Kalashnikov” assault rifles...

On Friday, he said they attacked the port in Derna and seized an assortment of 70 military vehicles. It was not immediately clear who the civilians were or where they had been taken hostage. The group calls itself the “Islamic Emirate of Barqa ...etc, etc

SO - evidently Quadaffi went after these terrorists, with the goal of rescuing the hostages and clampling down on the Al Qaeda...

so then, as we have heard rumored, it's the Al Qaeda whose 'lives we have saved'????

Now it makes sense, for the first time. A call for help (?) was made to their 'friend' in DC and wham-o.

The timeline and the believability all fits. Quadaffi and Al Queda have been deadly enemies for some time. Al Qaeda and Our Dear Leader? If we haven't already seen enough evidence of his love for all things muzzie, we have not been looking and listening.

We also know which side of that fence madame hitlery hangs her wump.

So why didn’t we just let him take them out?

Could it be because The Won and madame hitlery are friends with al Q?

The dots?

AlQ attacks in Libya, kills policemen, takes hostages and weapons...

Quadaffi goes after them

the Won and madame ride to the rescue - of Al Q.

Yep. Now it makes sense.

We need to email that link to every congresscritter. Let them know WE KNOW. Tell them to shut this down.

And then start REAL investigations.
