Center City Store Brawl Caught On Tape
March 24, 2011 9:00 AM

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A brawl involving a number of young people, mostly girls, resulted in several arrests and charges being filed in Center City and the entire incident was caught on tape.

Police took a number of unruly teens into custody around 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17, when group of teenage girls started to fight inside the H&M clothing store at 16th and Chestnut Streets. Police and store security were nearby and quickly broke up the feuding teens while onlookers grabbed their cell phones and started recording.

A number of the teens attempted to make a get away following the incident, but police quickly rounded them up and took them into custody.

Video shows the store in disarray, a mannequin wearing a “Not Violence” t-shirt was knocked to the ground and lost it’s head, a gift card display was knocked over and pieces of a woman’s hair weave were strewn on the floor.

Police say the suspects in the incident face various juvenile charges, including reckless endangerment.

Authorities have increased patrols and presence in that area since it has become a popular gathering spot for large groups of young people.

As milder weather sets in, police say they expect to maintain a large presence in that area of Center City. The same gathering area had been the scene of a previous crowd disturbance and a shooting outside one of the stores.

Flash mob kicked the living hell out of a few whites on South St last summer. It was racist and violent. We do not go there anymore. We used to love to go to the theater and go to dinner there but no more. These “children” are out to create chaos. They killed the manager of Starbucks on a rail platform last year while he waited for the train to go home after work. They beat him to death in front of others.
They are not normal children. They are angry and violent with a way to gather a flash gang in minutes. God help any white person in the way.

Our first mistake was not picking our own cotton. Our second mistake was not picking our own fruits and vegetables.

Sounds like a nightmare...

Sometimes we go to an Eagles' game, but we take the long way. We go down on the Northeast Ext. of the turnpike, then take the Blue Route to I-95.

These animals won’t be brawling in the stores, they’ll be brawling in our homes. Buy food, TP and ammo now.

I only wonder how much the “boyfriends” made off with during the diversion.

Absolutely. Cheap illegal labor isn't cheap. It saves money for a few but in the end we all pay much more. Americans still don't understand how that works. The failure of capitalism occurs when it uses illegal labor that is paid under market rates.

In the end the quest for the cheapest labor has cost the USA far more than had we paid the real market cost to pick cotton and tomatoes. I've always said I'd rather pay the full price for Americans (not imported farm workers) to pick our fruit and vegetables than have the culture of our nation turned upside down.

Real capitalism should always depend upon using legal labor that is paid market rates. If farm workers were paid $15/hr then we'd develop machinery that would pick tomatoes, not use illegal and slave labor that distorts the real cost of labor to the benefit of the robber barons and corrupt capitalists. Their gain has cost every American for generations.
