Ben-Gal Laura Vikmanis. (Bengals.com) The NFL's oldest cheerleader just scored a movie deal with New Line. Laura Vikmanis shakes pom poms and does high kicks at the ripe old age of 42 for the lowly Cincinnati Bengals. A team so bad the last couple of years she was probably the most interesting thing to watch on the field. New Line obviously thinks so, as they have picked up the rights to her story, and assigned writers whose credits include "Gnomeo and Juliet" and "Ratatouille," the Hollywood Reporter reports.
After her husband left her for a younger woman, she told her sister at a Bengals game that cheerleading looked like fun, and maybe she'd give it a try. Vikmanis, who has two daughters, tried out for the Ben-Gals at age 39 and was rejected.
She didn't give up, kept working out and training, and the next year, at age 40, she was in!

Shameful lack of Christian modesty. Wouldn’t you agree, brother Christian?
Probably she does from a distance.
I think it depends on your age. I am approaching sixty and can appreciate the amount of work she has done to have a trim and fit body, even if her breasts are enhanced. If you look at the rest of her, she is muscular and has a very low body fat. That didn’t come easily. I admire her dedication to maintain that level of physical fitness.
Giggity.
Further proof that a lot of men are idiots.
“Never marry a gal that could put you in a crushing headlock without provocation.”
You think maybe she’s in the market for a slightly used sex slave?
Why doesn’t she take swimming lessons so she won’t have to wear that Mae West?
Actually, I hear they have a likeness of Laz on the floor in the lobby with the motto “things are looking up”.
Get a life.
Back in the late ‘70s, early ‘80s, there was a 58-year-old cheerleader for the Los Angeles Rams cheerleading squad (aka the “Embraceable Ewes”). Her name was Phyllis Wanger and she was known affectionately as “Pom Pom Mom”.
I couldn’t find any pictures, but a YouTube video survives. You won’t have to guess which one is her.

These are my idea of feminine beauty:
Like you said, I can respect Laura Vikmanis for the hard work she obviously does, but her physique is just a bit too mannish and hard for my liking...:)
“Like a jackhammer.”
Form the looks of her, you’ll need it.
Call block her # she will give it up sooner or later dude.
Yeah, she’s had a little chemical help. Almost impossible for a woman to get that kind of definition otherwise, especially at 42.
At first (and second) glance, I thought she had a nice figure but you are right. After looking at the pics a few more times, she looks a little hard.
A girl can be athletic and fit and still have soft curves. This girl has a couple of soft curves but her arms and legs are not good at all. Her face actually looks every bit of her age.
Touché!
Looks like she should be one of the wives on those stupid shows on “Bravo” channel. I think she is a little “long in the tooth” to be cheering.
I think her face is a bit on the hard side, but not unattractive...however the female body builder look doesn’t do it for me.
I think there are a lot of female tennis players (and we know who they are) volleyball players and such who do indeed have athletic bodies but are still feminine and don’t have the sinewy look.
But I do appreciate how much work that must take. I have lost 30 pounds in the last six months, and it took getting up at 0430 every single day to do it...and I am still about 20 pounds over where I should be. Believe me, if you knew how much I enjoy sleeping and how much I hate getting up early, you would know how much I respect this woman’s obvious hard work!
