That was good - thanks for the heads up. Like Herman Cain - right on the issues and he presents himself well and speaks in plain language everyone can understand. All of those are important for being an appealing candidate to the electorate.

It's very, very weird that there were no comments on this thread for 53 hours, then you both reply to me in the space of 53 seconds.

I will repeat my comment, I think it's pretty self-explanatory.

This Herman Cain has been around a little over 3.5 seconds and people are talking crazy about him. Hey, maybe he is The Black Reagan - we can only hope. He certainly says the right things.

But we constantly see this in the conservative movement. Someone says kind of the right things, and everyone starts wetting their pants in dear hope for some kind of Moses to lead us out of Egypt unto our Promised Land.

But if you've been around for more than 5 minutes, as most of us have, you should start seeing the pattern. The pattern is that these people who everyone gets excited about end up being Newt Gingrich: supporting the Old Regime while keeping us happy out of the side of their mouth.

We need to have a longer-term perspective. There is a fundamental flaw in the way we are doing things, because there are no established leaders who we are looking to.

Again, maybe he is good. But I would prefer to see actions than words.
