Fundamentally, Cat is wasting their time exhorting Springfield to change, and I’m sure they know it. It’s really just their way of announcing the moves they’ve already decided to make because of the hostile climate against business in Illinois. No doubt the Rats who run Illinois are too stupid to understand that this is what’s really going on.
Dear Caterpillar:
Texas is open for business.
I got to tell you when I read this the first time "When the Caterpillar gets ILL-n-annoyed locked in a taxed cacoon then it sprouts wings and butterflies onward to greener pastures. Good luck with that Quinn the Dimwit." I had to shake cobwebs out of my head...
Don't beg the government. Come to Florida. Methinks we can work out a win-win agreement.
Let the socialists/unions/liberals/democrats in IL eat each other.

Ha, that stupid b##tard had the gall to say that the tax increase wouldn't affect business. I swear, this state has got to have the worst politicians in the world (which is no small feat, I know).
They will in fact be out of Illinois in the next few years. Take it to the bank (that’s from a Cat exec who plays golf with our insurance agent).
Wisconsin should pass Right-to-Work and invite them over.
So much for Cat and o’Bumbler’s stimulus
Are they doing that now? What a shame. I recall a time when people all across America aspired to move to California because there was so much opportunity and promise there. When I was a kid, it was the best darn place on the planet to grow up.
“Liberalism is a mental disorder that makes one immune to facts and reason.”
This disorder also immunizes them from considering any consequences or costs of their policies. Liberals don’t think, they simply emote.
Ray, Boo-— read it slowly and apply a little creative humor and maybe it will register. If I have to spell it out then forget about it. Sheeeshhh!
Yes but if it didn’t play well in Peoria it is failed
You know, what's even stranger, is that you see liberals doing the same thing in business, as in politics.
Look at the major television network news outlets. They've all been losing market share to Fox News, talk radio, and the blogosphere for years and years, yet they refuse to simply LOOK at the reasons this is occurring.
The people who are in control of these businesses refuse to admit to themselves that fewer and fewer people are interested in buying their left-wing propaganda, and that they're leaving them in droves for information outlets that provide more accurate, less politically slanted reporting.
You'd think that just a few of those 'smart' people would stop and actually come to grips with the reasons for their downward slide in ratings, but they won't. Their politics are more important than their shareholders' pocketbooks, apparently.
Why wouldnt they just move their business to Mexico or over seas?
It's a condition of arrested development, wouldn't you say? It never fails to amaze me that grown adults can buy into the liberal mindset, which goes against the grain of every bit of adult wisdom and observation of life.
Even the elderly aren't immune to the contagion of liberalitis. I've got some old fools in my own family.
Oh, I got it. It took a couple of tries but by that time the “humor” had disappeared into the ether.
The liberal mind is very much like an adolescent child. It helps to think that way when attempting to communicate with them. Reality is a concept that is not well understood nor appreciated in liberal circles.
Interesting suggestion, but I don't know if I can easily put myself in that mindset. I'm raising real children, but even they have the capacity to analyze facts, and come to intelligent conclusions based upon what they themselves observe.
My focus is always to help them improve that ability, not to try and see things from their less developed level.
I guess I'm doomed to be a failure when it comes to helping liberals see reality ;-)

Educated liberals are nearly all elitists. They dismiss the possibility that anyone “beneath” them could actually be smarter than they are.
