I recommend the 1911 in this its centennial year.

The perfect storm of liberalism: Mix in unions, illegal immigrants, single parent homes, cultural degradation, militant indoctrination, false accusations of everything “racist” overpaid, underworked, over benefitted administrators, the ACLU and presto!
There you have it.
Money quote...”the school only gets paid when the student is present, so they do not suspend the student for their unacceptable behavior”....
Should be on the Another Reason to Home School ping list.
hmm, the old schol teachers used to say no self respecting teacher would admit to not being able to control her classroom....
Hmmmm.... I wonder? Did "old schol teachers" get sued every time they disciplined a student? Did they parents support the "old schol teachers" or take the side of their spoiled brat every time?
Did the kids come to school with guns and shivs threatening them?
(Thanks for the ping! I’m popping my popcorn as I type!)
you must be a teacher. but these were old school teachers that always ran their classroom well, todays teachers aren’t equipped, and their superiors and the student parents do not back them up.
Student attendance begets ADA (think $) for each student in a class per day
If they are suspended then no ADA for the duration of the suspension. Students and Parents know there is no real downside to misbehaving as they are so desperate for the money they will not discipline the little thugs or back up the teachers who try and suspend them. When you bring in the parents there are a million excuses why their little angel needs to stay in school or misbehaves.
Admin says ok he can stay and off we go to the races
Now, the nun...She'd run up and down the aisle dousing us with Holy Water to "Get the devil out".
Now, the nun...She'd run up and down the aisle dousing us with Holy Water to "Get the devil out".
And I'll wager $10 that neither the 1st grade teacher nor the nun were ever bullied by their students.
In-house suspension.
Madison, WI: Teachers bullying taxpayers.
In most cases, I’ve come to realize that many (not all) teachers are victims...
Victims of the unions, being “useful idiots” of the thug bosses.
Victims of the students, who in many cases are running around, out of control. If anybody wants to take a good look at what I’m talking about, google “Southwest High School Kansas City,” my alma-mater.
And victims of the school administrations/governments, with the inability to take control of their classes without the possibility of law suits.

No, I am not. I went to the "old schools". I went to private schools and I see how the teachers of today are forced to handle kids.
I would not be a teacher today because of the way they are forced to handle kids. I'm old school and wish they were today.
I used to date a fourth grade teacher. She told me that one day two fourth graders were fighting and she was not allowed to touch them unless another teacher was present. She had to wait for another teacher to show up before she could break up the fight. All about lawsuits and protecting yourself from parents.
No, we never bullied them.....And I’m very sure they went to heaven.
