I'd like to offer a bit of advice to the Indian government. Take the freakin' gloves off and go unlimited in your use of firepower. It's the perfect situation to test out using the new sea launched Brahmos supersonic cruise missile. Nothing like swatting a fly with a cannon!

That is an expensive way to go after ragtag somali pirates when a few bullets can do the job just fine. The few brahmos missiles India has are to be used against China and Pakistan only.

I’m thinking of them being used as real world weapons tests on really small targets. If a Brahmos going supersonic can surgically hit a small jihadi mothership then you know it will have no problem hitting the broad side of a barn, I mean, boat.

Plus, guys love a great explosion and if that explosion is taking out pirates then all the better! ;)

But for the most part it would be better to just the 3S method of dealing with jihad on the seas.

Problem with Indian navy randomly shooting and sinking the pirates is that all the Obamaites of US,EU and UN will get on India’s case. I am all for the 3Ss but it is only beacuse of US and EU, India has to combat piracy the “humane way”.
