“Retire” means that one no longer “has to” work as one has saved up enough to not have to.

Guess this means you really didn’t “retire” after all.

I think the word is overused, as it may be best to never truly “retire” and keep a lifeline to some type of partial work activity (whatever that may be) until you physically or mentally can no longer do work at all.

Don’t feel alone. Every time I’ve tried to retire, I seem to get a large tax bill for the previous year which takes a large chunk out of the retirement kitty.
