Donald Trump says he was able to get his hands on his birth certificate within an hour, so why can't President Obama?
"Somebody asked me today, 'Can I see your birth certificate?' I had it in my hands in less than an hour," Trump told Fox's Greta Van Susteren tonight on On The Record.

During a phone interview, Van Susteren asked Trump why he doesn't believe President Obama was born in the United States.
"I want to see his birth certificate," Trump said, "He doesn't have it. He spent millions of dollars on lawyers trying to get out of the issue. They give what's called a certificate of live birth which doesn't even have a signature on it, and anybody can get a certificate of live birth. It's nothing to do with a birth certificate."

Trump’s mother was given citizenship years before Donald was born in the USA. He is a natural born citizen if you want to vote for him for POTUSA. For me he has to do a lot of explaining about his past including donating to democrats that up to their eyeballs in the Obama mess.

You are right. I am 9 years older than Obama. A few years ago I met an old doctor at a social function, not knowing he had been my mother's obstetrician. He said to me: "I believe we met at a younger age". He still remembered.
Somebody living must remember working in delivery in August 1961 in the Hawaiian hospital. But I don't think we even know which hospital it was.

I believe that Obama is a liar and a fraud when it comes to this Obama long form birth certificate mess.
Having said that, if I were advising Trump, I would advise him that it is in his best interest---and adds a lot of weight to his credibility---that he release his own long form birth certificate as soon as possible, because many Obama supporters---like posters at the Politico message board---are now jumping all over Trump and ridiculing him because he has only released a hospital certificate that lacks the detail information that a New York state/city long form birth certificate would have.
I thank Trump very much for his tremendous effort in using the power of his name to publicly raise world-wide awareness to the almost taboo subject of Obama's lack of a long form birth certificate, but I believe that he needs to provide the public with his own long form birth certificate if he wants us to take him seriously

You are right. Let's say this stretches out for a few weeks and Trump then produces a long form birth certificate. Contrast this with the years, and millions of dollars wasted, hiding the form in Obama's case. Most Americans will realize something is fishy. And nobody will care that Trump was not clear about the difference in the 2 forms. It will have been a learning experience for everyone.
I agree with you completely. And I think Trump has something like this in mind. Trump understands popular perceptions and human nature.
Frankly, I think Trump is gaming the media. It’s as if he’s being advised by James O’Keefe or Andrew Breitbart. Let out one piece of information, get the press’s attention, have the target strenuously object and stake out a position; then release more info showing the objection and position to be flat out lies.
Did you see the thread on the Politico story? They went ALL OUT showing that it was ‘only’ a hospital record, not a public record. They called NYC’s Vital Records office to establish it wasn’t ‘authentic’ and went through an explanation of the difference between the two documents. You know, exactly what they did NOT do with regard to Brackets’ COLD vs long form bc.
They showed what they COULD do but have chosen not to for Brackets. Trump punked them, big time.
Now, all Trump has to do - and he can make it into a media event - is schlep all five miles from Trump Tower down to the NYC Vital Records office with $20 and get a certified copy of his long form birth certificate in five minutes. Show it to the reporters on the spot. Then what does this media do?
About the time he has milked the BC issue and everyone knows the difference between a COLB and a long form BC he can jump on 0bungle for having multiple SS#s or not releasing his Harvard records.

The Donald was born in New York. So, he's eligible.
Not that the joke he presented as his BC proves it. For all anyone knows, it could refer to the island. Explicitness is essential to a proper BC.
To be natural born, you have to be born to two natural born parents. Otherwise, you get usurpers like zero.

That is why he is pushing this. A good businessman doesn't bluff, he also doesn't guess. Trump has had his minions do research and he knows exactly the answer to the question he is publicly asking.
In fact he is asking it in a way to do maximum damage.
He claims he does not know and just wants to see the real birth certificate. Then he asks why has the President spent millions hiding it, when it should take just a few minutes to get the real thing. Then he states that the Hawaiian Governor is lying about being there at Obama’s birth.
Trump knows the answers to the questions he is feeding to the MSM. When the MSM finally gets around to looking for the truth, Trump may even help point them in the right direction so they can find out where the President was born and who were his parents.
It will all come out in the end and Trump is giving the issue just enough visibility for that to happen.
