‘Protect the Citizens’ is a very, very, very, bad precedent.
The very idea that some guy can ‘decide’ totally on his own, with no counter balance or approval at all, to launch a military strike against a sovereign nation with the idea of ‘protection’ is crazy.
That is just simply not the job or the right of the United States.
Also, it would be very easy for him to turn the ‘protect the citizens’ crap, on us. And I don’t doubt for a second that he would do it.
I think he hates America. He hates our traditions. He hates our values. He hates us.
He is just looking for any excuse and some means to strike us. That is my opinion. He would do it in a heartbeat.
This ‘protect the citizens’ insanity basically just give him the power to do whatever he wants to whomever he wants for any reason he wants.

This is the dangerous catch 22. The reach for power over others, appears insatiable to those who crave it and limitless, by their designs. Think we can safely assume that this MO already in place - per Obama potential; and design by Soros, Inc. This has been the magic word of the week as they search for rationale per Libya. How many times did Obama say 'protect innocent citizens' last night? Too many.
