The GF almost went with one of those. Actually went in to the store to buy one, but since it was her first SP, she ended up with a 32GB iPhone 4.
The 5 might be out at the end of the year. That’s the rumour du jour anyway. They’re either having design issues, or supplier issues due to the Japan disaster.
Your iPhone 6 might not come til 2013

I think the real issue is going to be closed system vs open system.

wp7 and iphone are closed systems.
Android 2.3 is not ...as closed.
next week we could have something even newer and change everything.
We even see other tablets that are actually being used IN PUBLIC!
Yeah I have the 8gb. Hadn’t heard anything about problems with the iphone 5. I’m just going by the once a year schedule that’s happened in the past. Thing is that if they release the iPhone to both carriers in June, they’ll piss off all verizon customers who just got their shiny new iPhones (and two year contracts) in Feb. And if they don’t release it in June, or release just to AT&T in June, they’ll piss a lot of people off with one or both carriers, who were waiting until the new release.
